XF-79 Linoleum Deck Brown is the warm reddish-brown of the linoleum decking laid across Imperial Japanese Navy ships a specific, correct tone rather than a rough approximation, and one that finishes a warship build properly. Part of Tamiya’s flat XF range, it lays down flat and even straight from the jar.

Best for

• Linoleum decking on Imperial Japanese Navy warships
• 1/700 and 1/350 scale ship builds
• Brush or airbrush application, thinned with Tamiya X-20A

Lay it down across the deck planking and pick out the seams in a darker wash, and you’ve got the kind of authentic finish that separates a competition build from a shelf-filler.

10ml glass jar, water-soluble. Grab a bottle of Tamiya X-20A thinner alongside it if you don’t already keep one on the bench it’s the one this range is built around.
