Pulp Figures PHP-1 Film Crew

Bring the cameras along for your next tabletop adventure with Pulp Figures PHP-1 Film Crew. This characterful set represents a period film crew, making it an excellent addition to pulp adventures, historical scenarios, movie-set dioramas, and narrative games where documenting the action is almost as important as surviving it.

Designed for 28mm tabletop gaming, the Film Crew can serve as civilian NPCs, journalists, documentary makers, expedition companions, or scenario objectives. Send them into remote jungles, archaeological sites, dangerous city streets, or wherever the latest pulp adventure takes place.

Film Crew

Film crews can find themselves in surprisingly dangerous places in a pulp adventure.

Whether documenting an archaeological expedition, recording a breaking news story, or attempting to capture footage of something the rest of the world won’t believe, these characters provide plenty of opportunities for storytelling.

Use them as:

• Camera operators

• Documentary crews

• Journalists

• Newsreel teams

• Expedition members

• Civilian NPCs

• Witnesses

• Scenario objectives

• Movie industry characters

Document the Adventure

Add the Film Crew to scenarios involving:

• Archaeological expeditions

• Remote jungles

• Lost civilizations

• Dangerous wildlife

• Criminal investigations

• War zones

• Mysterious islands

• Ancient ruins

• Supernatural discoveries

• Famous adventurers

The crew might be following the heroes, accompanying an expedition, or simply finding themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Perfect for Narrative Scenarios

Civilian characters can add objectives beyond simply defeating the opposing force.

Create missions where players must:

• Protect the Film Crew

• Recover their footage

• Escort them through dangerous territory

• Rescue captured crew members

• Reach a filming location

• Escape with photographic evidence

• Prevent villains from seizing the film

• Document a mysterious event

This makes the set particularly useful for story-driven campaigns.

Build a Pulp Expedition

Combine the Film Crew with other Pulp Figures sets to create a complete expedition.

Pair them with:

• Rugged Heroes

• Explorers

• Scientists

• Archaeologists

• Sailors

• Guides

• Civilians

• Guards

Then populate the adventure with cultists, criminals, hostile agents, and other pulp villains.

Great for Multiple Settings

The Film Crew can be incorporated into a wide variety of 28mm tabletop settings, including:

• Pulp adventures

• Historical games

• Interwar scenarios

• Roleplaying games

• Horror games

• Urban encounters

• Expedition campaigns

• Movie-set dioramas

Their civilian theme makes them especially useful for adding life to scenarios outside conventional military battles.

Excellent Painting Project

A film crew provides an opportunity to paint period civilian clothing and equipment.

Experiment with:

• Jackets

• Shirts

• Trousers

• Hats

• Leather equipment

• Camera equipment

• Metallic details

• Weathered clothing

• Dust and mud

• Urban or expedition-themed bases

Give each member of the crew an individual appearance to create a natural-looking group.
