Hail Caesar Onager with hellenistic crew

The onager was a powerful torsion-powered artillery engine used in the ancient world to launch heavy stones and destructive projectiles against enemy formations and fortified positions. While similar siege engines were widely used by later Roman armies, Hellenistic forces also employed mechanical artillery to support both battlefield engagements and siege warfare.

These machines used tightly twisted ropes or sinew to generate immense tension, which was then released to propel stones across the battlefield with great force. When positioned behind infantry lines or on elevated ground, an onager could disrupt enemy formations, damage defensive structures, and weaken fortified positions before an assault.

In Hail Caesar, the Onager with Hellenistic Crew adds a dramatic artillery piece to your ancient armies. With its distinctive design and crew-operated mechanism, it provides both historical flavor and powerful battlefield support for Hellenistic forces.

Features:

  • Ancient Siege Engine: Field a powerful onager with crew in your Hail Caesar army.

  • Highly Detailed Miniatures: Includes the artillery engine and Hellenistic crew figures.

  • Compatible with Hail Caesar: Designed for use with the Hail Caesar historical tabletop wargame.
