Boney Spikes is a warm, pale bone colour the go-to for skeletons, tusks, claws, horns, teeth and parchment. Smooth and pigment-rich, it gives that dead, dry look in a single coat and takes a sepia or brown wash beautifully for aged, weathered bone.

Best for

  • Skeletons, tusks and horns
  • Claws, teeth and bone detail
  • Parchment and scrolls

Base it solid, wash with sepia to age it, then highlight up to off-white for bone that looks properly old.

The essential bone tone. Pair it with a sepia wash and an off-white highlight.
