When a mob’s just been in a scrap or a Tyranid’s mid-meal this is the shade that sells it. Blood Effects gives you a true oxidised red rather than a flat toy-box red, so a single thin glaze reads as a fresh wound while a couple of layers pools into the dark, dried gore of a battle that’s been over for hours.

Best for

• Splatter and spray effects across bases and weapons after a melee
• Fresh wound highlights on claws, blades and bite marks
• Dried blood pooling on Khorne warbands and gribbly Tyranids

One bottle covers everything from a nicked knuckle to a full-blown massacre base, and because it thins so cleanly you’re never fighting the paint to get the effect you want.

Not a wash apply it like any acrylic, thinned as needed. Pair it with a fine detail brush for spatter work, or browse the rest of the AK 3rd Gen Acrylic range for more Color Punch shades.
