About the Sturmgeschtz IV

The Sturmgeschtz IV entered service in late 1943 as a practical solution to continue assault gun production after disruptions to StuG III manufacturing. Built on the reliable Panzer IV chassis and armed with a powerful 75mm gun, it proved highly effective as both a tank destroyer and infantry support vehicle. Many vehicles were fitted with Schrzen side armor and additional improvised protection, enhancing their survivability during combat.
